Ferrari set to keep F-Duct on

Felipe Massa says Ferrari is likely to continue using its F-Duct for the rest of the Spanish Grand Prix weekend after the system was run on Friday.

The Italian squad has introduced its own device for this weekend’s race after testing a preliminary version in the previous event in China.

Today’s results left the team positive about the device and Massa reckons the team is very likely to race it.

Massa hopeful of step forward in Spain

Felipe Massa is hopeful his Ferrari team can take a significant step forward thanks to the updates introduced in the Spanish Grand Prix this weekend.

“We have some changes to the car, also some details from an aerodynamic point of view, we also have the famous blown rear wing that I hope we can have some improvement with, and also some details on the aerodynamics which gives us some more performance,” Massa told reporters on Thursday.

“Definitely it is also a track and a race where we had three weeks between so most of the teams will have new parts on the car.

Massa, Alonso insist relationship is fine

Massa plays down pit entry incident

Felipe Massa insists that he had no problem with the way that team-mate Fernando Alonso muscled him out of the way during their fight for position in the pitlane entry in the Chinese Grand Prix.

The Brazilian was forced to take to the grass after Alonso lunged down the inside in the pit entry at Shanghai – crucially giving himself track position advantage for the stacked pitstop.

But although Alonso’s move looked slightly aggressive, Massa said he was not upset about what happened because he had effectively lost the place with a poor exit from the previous hairpin.

Massa in no rush to sort Ferrari contract

Felipe Massa says he is in no hurry to sort his contract situation with Ferrari, insisting he is focusing on the championship.

The Brazilian’s current deal ends at the end of this season, and there have been rumours that Ferrari is interested in signing Renault’s Robert Kubica to partner Fernando Alonso from next year.
